Counsel-General Keyu Peng remarked at the opening ceremony for New York Branch of China Construction Bank

Counsel-General Keyu Peng was invited to make remarks on June 5 at the opening ceremony for New York Branch of China Construction Bank. He pointed out that China and the United States have already become the second largest trading partner for each other since the establishment of bilateral foreign relationship 30 years ago. He believes that complementarity and reciprocality of Sino-U.S. economic and trade relationship will further promote the healthy and steady development of bilateral economic ties. He addressed that the opening of New York Branch of China Construction Bank under the current economic circumstances explicitly exhibit high confidence of Chinese enterprise in the bilateral economic relationship. He believes that New York Branch of China Construction Bank will provide high standard service for the bilateral economic activities and hopes that the enterprises in the two countries can further strengthen cooperation for a win-win relationship.

Mr. Shuqing Guo, Board of Chairman of China Construction Bank remarked at the opening ceremony as well. He addressed that the opening of New York branch will better promote the service standard of China Construction Bank so as to achieve the strategic goal of becoming one of the world top banks in the coming years. Currently, five Chinese banks, i.e. Bank of China, Bank of Communication, China Merchant Bank, China Industrial and Commercial Bank and China Construction Bank have already set up New York branch.
